I’m a writer of children’s and craft how-to books. Planet Pouch: Simple Juice Pouch Bags Anyone Can Make is available in Amazon’s Kindle Store. I also wrote and illustrated a picture book app called I Don’t Like Pink! which was published by the now-defunct PicPocket Books.
I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and Kappa Delta Pi. In 2016, I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Salem College. My master’s thesis won the 2016 Marsh Writing Award from Kappa Delta Pi.
During the day (except over the summer) you’ll find me working with kids. I'm a high school special education teacher (this year I'm doing math inclusion) and I love it. I enjoy learning from students and getting to know them. Teaching is very rewarding.
I’m also passionate about technology and the multitude of ways it can be integrated into the classroom. I enjoy exploring new tools that are designed to engage students and make life easier.
Since childhood, I’ve been known as a bookworm. If I’m not crafting, writing or in class, I’m usually reading. I have a Little Free Library in my front yard, and enjoy discovering and sharing new reads.
